As officially confirmed, both the Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online will be now available in PlayStation 5 as well as Xbox Series X and S. For those who don’t know, this is for the third generation, that these same games are made available in the consoles in an “expanded and enhanced” version. And this doesn’t seem like the final generation of consoles to these games are made available. There are even rumors suggesting that the development of GTA 5 and GTA Online for next-gen consoles are happening currently.
When is the new update for GTA V coming out?
For every fan waiting for the release of the “expanded and enhanced versions” of GTA V and Grand Theft Auto Online, Rockstar Games have officially confirmed that both of these games will be released on November 11, 2021. Those who are interested can play the expanded and enhanced versions of these games on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
The official announcement from Rockstar Games, which was released on May 18th, reveals what to expect in the new update for GTA V and GTA Online. The announcement promises that the “expanded and enhanced” version of GTA 5, will have technical, visual, and performance enhancements. The latest generation Xbox consoles, the Xbox series X and Series Y was released on November 10, 2020. On the 12th of the same month, we saw the release of PlayStation 5 as a successor to the popular Playstation 4. Both of these consoles already promised to support the latest version of both GTA 5 and GTA Online. What’s more interesting is that on 22nd October 2021, we will see the 20th anniversary of GTA III. Fans and the gaming community all around the world are excited for this day as Rockstar has teased some “fun surprises.” It is expected that these fun surprises will be specifically for GTA Online. As for GTA Online, the updated version of the game will launch at the same time as that of the single-player update. Those who own the PlayStation 5 can be a delight as they will be able to download a standalone version of the multiplayer side of things. This will be solely available on the Sony PlayStation 5. As for the Xbox Series X and Series S users, this will be available to those months after the release in Playstation 5.
Do the GTA Online characters come to PS5 & Xbox Series X/S?
Many of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S series owners are worried if they will be able to carry on their characters PS4 or Xbox One. Previously, the players were able to simply carry on their progress. Even though there aren’t any official confirmations, leaks are suggesting that the players will be able to either carry forward their characters or to start anew. Even though the leaks are heard from very reputed sources who have a pretty good track record, like always, take every leak with a pinch of salt, As Rockstar games could change things either during development or may even scrap the entire plan. We need to wait until there are any official confirmations.
New update for GTA V: Will there be GTA 5 DLC?
