Inside the facility, is the danger of exposure to the virus and getting. Whereas the sharks outside are also lurking for some meat to feast on. The researchers must outpace time as they face the two-sided threat of sharks and the shark virus. Virus Shark is directed by Mark Polonia who has also edited the film. He’s known for Return to Splatter Farm; Bride of the Werewolf; Ghost of Camp Blood; Bigfoot vs. Zombies; Feeders; etc. Aaron Drake has penned the screenplay for the film. Ron Bonk of the House Shark has produced the film. Virus Shark tries to build upon the ongoing real-world pandemic and sharks! It’s a blend of the Covid-19 virus with a shark attack. Who’s in the Cast?
The movie’s cast includes Jamie Morgan, known for Halloween and Horror Tales. It also stars Steve Diasparra, known for Frozen Sasquatch; Queen Crab; and The Dark Sleep. There’s also Natalie Himmelberger, Ken Van Sant, known for Amityville Exorcism; Sharkenstein. Titus Himmelberger and Sarah Duterte (Deadly Playthings) are also in the film. Additionally, Noyes Lawton, Yolie Canales, Todd Carpenter, and James Carolus (Scarecrow County; Outpost Earth; Land Shark) are also starring. Finally, Danielle Donahue, known for Phobic; Survival Knife; Jurassic Prey, also stars in the movie.
What are Virus Shark Reviews Saying?
The film has received largely negative reviews. While most of the reviews have panned it, few have embraced its low-budget and full-fledged nonsense. Reviews have noticed the bad CGI and special effects. There’s also a ton of fake and bad prop used in the film. It’s riddled with poor acting and an unfinished script. But as a zero-budget film, many might find some charm in it. It has all the bells and whistles that come with a Mark Polonia movie. The reviews have also noticed the homage to films like Deep Blue Sea. It is like a mixture of Deepstar and Deep Blue Sea with a dash of cannibal films. The scripts make little sense but that’s not an issue if you’re familiar with Mark Polonia films. Mark Polonia is known for films based exclusively around sharks that are basically low-budget homages to classics. He’s previously made Amityville Island and Shark Encounters of the Third Kind. Virus Shark does all the things you’d expect from a Mark Polonia film. It has ridiculous concepts, gore, bad CGI, poor acting, and a shoe-string budget. There is a lot of ultra-low-budget stuff in the film. At one point there’s a plastic shark prop moving vigorously. The premise of the movie could’ve made for a great low-budget watch, but it’s failed by a very bad script and equally bad acting.
What’s the Plot About?
The Australian coast has been on the end of a shark attack. Consequently, shark bites have spread the SHVID-1 virus to humans. To make the situation worse and fan the fires, people like beaches. Not moving away from the beaches, the virus spread turns into a pandemic. Meanwhile, the Cygnus Research Facility has crew members that can save the world. There are 5 crew members inside the underwater facility. The crew members include the shark expert Kristi (Jamie Morgan), Greg (James Carolus), chief engineer D’Amato (Steve Diasparra), the disease specialist, and Anne (Danielle Donahue). Back on the surface is Shannon Muldoon (Sarah Duterte), who everyone in the facility report to.
Virus Shark Release Date
