The series tells the story of schemes, betrayal, treachery, and revenge among the wealthy families living in a luxurious residential-commercial complex, Hera Palace. The animosities between the older generations caught up with their late teen children as they follow the path of their parents, both good and bad. They study in the prestigious school called Cheong-ah Arts School. Season 1 of the drama mainly revolved around two women, Shim Su-Ryeon and Oh Yoon-Hee, each going through their own difficulties in life. While Shim Su-Ryeon is a wealthy and elegant woman, Oh Yoon-Hee comes from a humble background and is a single mother. Moreover, Shim Su-Ryeon has a tragic past of her own and has to deal with her cheating husband and his mistress. Meanwhile, Oh Yoon-Hee is a famous soprano but has to work hard and take on as many jobs as she can to support her daughter, Bae Ro-Na, who is an honor student in Cheong-ah Arts School. Season 2 of the drama continues to follow their lives filled with drama and also includes Yoon-Hee’s revenge on her daughter’s killers and Shim Su-Ryeon’s past secrets and the mystery behind her possible death. Season 2 Episode 8 Recap:
The episode starts with Na Ae-Yeong arriving at the Hera Palace. She encounters Yoon-Hee, leaving the latter completely shocked because of her resemblance with Su-Ryeon. Meanwhile, Seok-Hoon still suspects Ha Eun-Byeol and tries to find out her involvement with Bae Ro-Na’s death. However, Ha Eun-Byeol doesn’t remember anything that happened during the Cheong-ah Arts Festival, where Bae Ro-Na was attacked. Moreover, Ha Yoon-Cheol seems too guilty to stay by Yoon-Hee’s side after the things he had done to protect Ha Eun-Byeol. Also, Seo-Jin feels betrayed after she sees Dan-Tae pretending to not know anything about her ghost singer. However, the fact was that Dan-Tae knew that it was Yoon-Hee. Later, Seo-Jin decides that she wants to reconcile with Yoon-Cheol and break-up with Dan-Tae. Also, Logan struggles with trying to figure out Na Ae-Yeong and why she is back with Dan-Tae.

The Penthouse Season 2: War In Life Episode 9 will release on 19 March 2021. You can watch The Penthouse Season 2: War In Life on Viki. The official website streams the English sub videos on the same day the episode releases. Episode 9 will mostly focus on Cheon Seo-Jin and her struggles against Ju Dan-Tae. In the upcoming episode, we will see Cheon Seo-Jin being disappointed and distressed after finding out the true colors of Ju Dan-Tae. We can expect her to ask for help from her step-sister and step-mother to escape from his clutches. Moreover, we will also see her sacrificing her pride to stop her daughter, Ha Eun-Byeol from going to prison. However, we already found out in the previous episode that it was actually Ju Dan-Tae who killed Bae Ro-Na and also got rid of the evidence.
Also, it is most likely that Seo-Jin will figure in episode 9 out that Dan-Tae is the real killer. She will fight against him head-on to save Ha Eun-Byeol. Seo-Jin will have to ask her ex-husband to take Eun-Byeol somewhere far from home. However, Dan-Tae is exceptionally crafty and always seems to be one step ahead of Seo-Jin. So, despite her efforts, he will fight with her ex-husband to stop Eun-Byeol from leaving. Meanwhile, we will also see Oh Yoon-Hee telling the twins the truth about their birth mother and that Shim Su-Ryeon was killed by their father. However, Seok-Yung will be angry at Yoon-Hee as she believes the latter to be Su-Ryeon’s killer. Luckily, Seok-Hoon seems to believe Yoon-Hee and takes her side. He will also tell her everything he suspects about his father. Lastly, in the final part of the promo, we see Logan lee confronting Na Ae-Yeong about her true identity and that he knows that “it’s her”.
