Season 4 of The Dragon Prince is at the risk of getting canceled, and here is why. Danika Harrod, who is the voice of Wonderstorm in The Dragon Prince revealed the following on Twitter: “I would prefer the show not be boycotted either, but that isn’t out of the desire to protect people,” Harrod tweeted on November 6. “Aaron has been incredibly misleading in how the shows been presented to fans. Season 3 was done a long time ago and there was never a single sliver of risk of it getting ‘canceled.’”
She continued, “I’m already saying way too much, but Season 3 finished production a while ago! The animators were on contract through Bardel [Animation’ and the contract ended when S3 production did. And in Aaron’s brainstorming for Season 4 there were such huge red flags”
Who are the characters in The Dragon Prince?
Callum is the main character of the show, who is a 14-year-old boy. He becomes the first human ever to control primal magic. Rayla is a 15-year-old assassin who works with Callum and Erzan. Tarzan is the 10-year-old son of King Harrow. He has a unique ability to speak with animals.
What is The Dragon Prince about?
The show is based in a fantasy world with an element of magic on the continent of Xadia. There was a time when dragons, elves, and humans lived in peace in Xadia, but the humans began to use dark magic as they couldn’t use magic naturally. Dark magic came at the cost of sacrificing the lives of other creatures. The humans were therefore separated, and the continent was divided by a river of lava. As the story starts, we see the war between the humans and dragons who kill the Dragon king and also destroy his heir’s eggs. The humans are attacked in return. The egg is later recovered, and it hatches into the Dragon Prince Zym. The story has received great praise from all around, with fans getting immersed in the storytelling technique. The fight with an element of magic and dark magic goes on and goes more in-depth with time. The ratings received were positive both by the audience and also by critics. Season 4 will be returning to continue this fight. The three-dimensional creation makes the show unique, and framerates were also managed according to feedbacks. The show comes out with nine episodes in each season, and we expect the same for the next season as well.
Update 1
One can only imagine that the focus of season 4 would be to develop this character, Aaravos, further, giving him a complete and acknowledged story. In a recent and interesting interview, the creators did draw a connection between the Villian and Callum’s Cube that has the power to identify magic sources. The item is called “Key of Aaravos” and is said to unlock something of huge importance to Xadia. Dragon Prince Season 3 also shows Callum and Rayla finally admitting their feelings for each other, which had been something hinted from the very first season! However, they won’t have their happily ever after so soon as Callum must still try and grow as a mage despite those in Xadia not trusting his human nature, and Rayla must restore her honor in her hometown. So, with not common quest binding them any longer, it is anyone’s guesses what course their relationship will take here on out, seeming to be a real test of romantic loyalty.
