Everything you need to know about “Superman & Lois”
“Superman & Lois” has been in the works since October 2019 when it was announced. On 14th January 2020, the CW officially announced that it is going to be a series. They also stated that its first season will consist of only 15 episodes and only then, they will decide whether to continue with it or not. Consequently, the filming was going to begin on 23rd March 2020 in Vancouver (British Colombia) but due to the pandemic, it had to be rescheduled. So, they decided to begin filming in June or July now just like the rest of the TV dramas. Finally, they started shooting the Pilot episode on 21st October 2020. Now, the filming is still going on and is expected to end by 14th June 2021. The plot of the series is based on Clark Kent i.e. Superman himself and his wife Lois Lane. They return to their Smallville with their family i.e. their children Jordan and Jonathan. In Smallville, they get reacquainted with Lana Lang and her husband Kyle Cushing. Clark’s children also make friends with Sarah (daughter of Lana and Kyle). So, all and all the story of the show will mostly revolve around Superman and his family. They’ll face many problems, especially The Stranger, and will fight them together as a unit. The trailer for the series is already out and you can watch it below. Cast
Tyler Hoechlin will be playing the lead role i.e. of Clark Kent a.k.a Superman. Before this, you have also Tyler portray the role of Superman in the series “Supergirl”. Apart from this, he has also portrayed roles in many famous movies like “Train Quest”, “Solstice”, “Hall Pass”, “Fifty Shades Freed”, and “Can You Keep a Secret?”. Elizabeth Tulloch will portray the character of Lois Lane i.e. a journalist who works for the Metropolis newspaper ‘Daily Planet’ and she is also Clark Kent’s wife. Prior to this, Elizabeth Tulloch has done some really commendable work. She is known for her works in “Grimm”, “Lakeview Terrace”, “Quarterlife”, and “Caroline and Jackie”. Jordan Elsass will play the role of Jonathan Kent. He is the modest and kind-hearted son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane i.e. he is the son of Superman. Jordan Elsass is one of the rising stars of Hollywood. He is known for doing movies and shows such as “Little Fires Everywhere”, “Panic”, and “The Long Road Home”. Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, the intelligent son of Clark and Lois who suffers from social anxiety, and consequently, he enjoys playing video games alone. Alexander Garfin is an American actor famous for his roles in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Salt”, “Purell”, and “Tyson Chicken”. Inde Navarrette will be portraying the character of Sarah Cushing. Sarah is Kyle and Lana’s wild-child daughter who becomes friends with the Kent boys. Dylan Walsh will be seen as Samuel Lane i.e. Lois’ father. He is a no-nonsense, workaholic Army general determined to keep America and the world safe from all the menaces. Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, an old friend of Clark Kent. He is also the loan officer at the Smallville Bank. Erik Valdez will play the character of Kyle Cushing i.e. Lana’s husband and Smallville’s fire chief. He enjoys his life living in a small town and is cautious of people from bigger cities or towns. Wolé Parks as The Stranger. He is a mysterious person who is intent to prove to the world that it does not need Superman now. Adam Rayner will be seen portraying the role of Morgan Edge i.e. a smart, strong, and heartfelt self-made tycoon.
When will the show be hitting your TV Screens?
“Superman & Lois” will be airing its first episode i.e. the Pilot episode on 23rd February 2021 at 8 PM ET. You will be able to watch it on The CW. Apart from this, every week a new episode will be aired. So, you can enjoy the show every week on Tuesday at 8 PM ET. In all, 15 episodes will be present in the first season and the run-time for the regular episodes will be between 41-47 minutes.
