The show has derived its inspiration from Twelve Patients: Life and Death, a very popular novel penned down by Eric Manheimer. For the first time, the series came out back on the 25th of September 2018. It has been created by David Schulner for NBC. After seeing the success of the first two installments of the show, NBC provided the creator with a green light to make three more seasons. As for the third one, it started airing on the network on the 2nd of March 2021. The main protagonist of New Amsterdam is Dr. Max Goodwin. The story starts when this guy has been appointed as the medical director in one of the oldest public hospitals that exist in the United States and he readily accepts the offer feeling honored. From the start, Max has been shown as a man with great ambitions. When he started working at his new workplace, all he wanted to do was to reform the neglected facility executed by the staff members here so as to provide excellent care to whoever seeks medical help from them.

This heartwarming story that is full of drama and new cases makes the show very popular among the audience. I mean, who does not like to sit back, relax and watch the doctors do their meaningful work. Another fact that contributes to the popularity of this series has to be the cast members employed in the show. The list includes Ryan Eggold reprising the role of Dr. Maximus Goodwin. He is appointed as the new medical director at New Amsterdam Medical Center. Then we have Janet Montgomery who enacts the character of Dr. Lauren Bloom. Anupam Kher does the part of Dr. Vijay Kapoor. He serves as the head of the Neurological Department at the New Amsterdam Hospital.

Now, we are all waiting for the forthcoming episode of the show. New Amsterdam season 3 episode 3 is called Safe Enough and is set to release on the 16th of March 2021. The good part about it is that the idea will bring in more revenue to the hospital but our lead protagonist will deny it. On the other hand, we will see Sharpe who is set on creating a beloved former patient. Although, while doing so, she is going to stumble upon a new trend that is going to be a piece of big news. Also, Iggy has now been pushing back on the new form of a telemedicine system for a while now. Previously, in the show, we have seen Max is witnessing the downfall of one of his policies he thought would work in New Amsterdam. But currently, they are all bringing back just consequences.
