Revolutionary Sisters: Release Date
Revolutionary Sisters is a family romance mystery thriller melodrama from South Korea. It has also other names such as Ok Kwang Sisters, A Happy Other’s House, Jeulgeoun Naui Jib, Ok Light Sisters, etc. Fortunately, one does not have to eagerly wait for the series as it is premiering soon from the second week of March. It will take place of the now airing drama ‘Homemade Love Story’ on KBS2. The Revolutionary Sisters will release on March 13, 2021, and air up to August 29, 2021. It will have a hundred episodes and would air every Saturday and Sunday of the week.
Revolutionary Sisters: Production
The creator behind the Revolutionary Sisters is KBS Drama Production. The screenwriter for the series is Moon Young-Nam with Lee Jin-Seo as the director. The executive producer and producers for the drama are Kang Byeong-Taek, Sang-Hwi Kim, and Min-Soo Ki. They all belong to the KBS Drama Headquarters. Pan Entertainment and Chorokbaem Media is the production company for the series, with KBS as its distributor. Jang Young-Kyu is giving composition to the drama. Recently, a sneak peeks into the role of one of the characters with the filming of some stills in February. Cast and Plotline
The confirmation for casting took place in December of 2020. The leading cast includes Hong Eun-Hee, Choi Dae-Chul, Jeon Hye-Bin, Kim Kyung-Nam, and Go Won-Hee. They are respectively portraying the roles of Lee Gwang-Nam, Bae Byeon-Ho, Lee Gwang-Sik, Han Ye-Seul, and Lee Gwang-Tae. The supporting cast includes Seol Jung-Hwan, Lee Sang-Sook, Yoon Joo-Sang, Lee Ji-Wan, Lee Bo-Hee, Ji Sung-Won, Kim Hye-Sun, Park Sun-Woo, Hong Je-Yi, Chun Yi-Seul, Lee Byung-Joon, Joo Suk-Tae, Song Young-Jae, Ha Jae-Suk, Kim Na-Yoon, and Park In-Hwan. They will play the characters of Heo Gi-Jin, Song Ah-Reum, Lee Cheol-Soo, wife of Sang Gan-Nam, Oh Bong-Ja, Teacher Tak, Oh Taeng-Ja, Lee Tae-Ri, Oh Taeng-Ja, Heo Poong-Jin, Oh Ttoo-Gi, Shin Maria, Han Dol-Se, and the mother-in-law.
Revolutionary sisters were not the original working title of the series but rather was Jeulgeowon Namui Jib. The drama all revolves around a murder wherein the prime suspects are the family and near members only. However, the mother of the family got murdered while she was in midst of filing divorce proceedings. Now, the father and the three daughters became the main suspect for the murder. Not only that, but their extended family also came under the suspect list. It is pretty much a humorous story that becomes suspenseful after the death of their mother. It will explore the relationships between the father and his three daughters. In the series, Lee Cheol-Soo plays the character of the father, who is very stern with his principles and rules. His relationship is not nice with his three daughters due to differences in their age and thoughts. Lee Kwang-Nam plays the character of the eldest daughter, who is very selfish, egoistic, and proud of herself. She despises her father due to the unconditional love from her mother. She is of the view that her mother suffered a lot due to her father. Lee Kwang-Sik plays the role of the second character that has her own principles, considerate, and is smart. She held an important position as a government employee. Lee Gwang-Tae plays the character of the third sister, who is very cool and cheerful.
