Stiller was born in Brooklyn in the heart of New York, to Bella and William Stiller. Born as a Jew, Stiller’s father was a mere bus driver, and he had his paternal grandparents that belonged to Ukraine. He spent his childhood and some of his teenage years living in East new york and Williamsburg, after a while, his family moved to the lower east side, where Stiller attended the Seward Park Highschool. Later, Stiller went to Syracuse University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Drama in 1950. From there, he found a keen interest in drama and theatre. It was then when he had his dreams fueled with the passion for having a career in the show business. In the summer of 1953, Jerry met his soulmate and wife to whom he was married for 60 years before tragically passing away recently. Anne Meara was herself an actress and a comedian too. The couple acted together on the big screen, and everyone loves them. Stiller and Meara run successfully in the 1960s and 1970s with multiple television appearances that were immensely loved by the audience. Stiller and Meara were like a daily dose of laughter.
