Early and Personal Life:
Maxwell was born on 25th December 1961 in France. She was born to Elisabeth and Robert Maxwell. She is the youngest of all the nine children they have. Her elder brother Michael had a car accident just two days after she was born. Consequently, after a prolonged coma, he passed away. Maxwell attended Balliol College, Oxford. As a child, she faced anorexia, which was a result of her brother Michael’s death. Her father used to run a publishing company called Pergamon Press in Oxford. Robert Maxwell was rich and owned a yacht that had a jacuzzi, sauna, and a disco. In 1991, her father bought New York Daily News. Her father was said to build a strategy to steal around $200 million from Berlitz shareholders. In November, Robert’s body was found floating in the sea. It was said that death was caused due to accidental drowning which his family still believes was murder. After that many controversies broke out regarding him stealing money from various businesses. Due to this Maxwell’s brothers were arrested for fraud as they used to handle the business with her father. After her involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, she dated Ted Waitt, founder of Gateway computers, Scott Borgerson, CEO of CargoMetrics. In December 2009, The Sun was offering €10,000 to anyone who could give information about her. But she has never been found, nor has attended any gatherings or public events.
Career:
During her years in Oxford, she found a women’s club called Kit-Cat and was also the director of Oxford United Football Club. Her father also started an organization for her which focused on corporate gifts. After her father’s death, she moved to the US and started working in real estate. Maxwell met Jeffrey Epstein at a party. They dated for several years. After that, they broke up, but even then they were always closely associated with each other. In 1995, Epstein renamed one of his companies as Ghislaine Corporation which later got resolved. In 2008, Epstein was arrested for prostitution of a minor and was sent to prison. After that, Epstein and Maxwell have not been spotted together. In 2017, she was accused of blackmailing Sarah Ransome. Sarah said she was hired as a masseuse for Epstein but later Maxwell and Epstein threatened to harm and destroy her if she did not fulfill their sexual needs. The case was settled in 2018. In 2019, Maria Farmer charged Maxwell and Epstein for sexually harassing her and her sister. After that many lawsuits were filed against them of molestation, sexual harassment, rape, false imprisonment, abuse and many more.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s net worth is approximately said to be around $10 million. In 2000, she bought a hometown in New York City for $4.95 million. Later on, she sold that for $15 million.
