For people who don’t know much about this series, let’s quickly run through the basics of the show then jump right into details about the upcoming episode.
Behind The Scenes
This American crime thriller television series created by Jon Bokenkamp started airing all the way back on September 13th, 2013. From that day on, people were hooked, the actors gave us a phenomenal performance, and the story was on another level. We hadn’t seen such a gripping concept recently. We have the iconic James Spader and Megan Boone in the frontline of the cast. The show started back in 2013 but is still flying high. The first season itself made a lasting impression on people. The viewing records were off the charts, which pushed the network to keep on renewing multiple seasons going forward. The popularity still kept on increasing to a point where a spin-off was also ordered while the main series was still going on. But that spin-off didn’t work out as planned and ended up getting canceled. But the spin-off getting canceled had no effect on the main series. Blacklist was still going strong as one of the best crime shows of all time. The only break the show took was when Covid-19 hit the world, but even the pandemic couldn’t keep this show from laying still. The eighth season started airing by November of 2020. The previous episode, which aired on February 19th, was titled “Chemical Mary”. In this episode, we saw Red getting some information about Keen. He learns that Keen may have been using the Freelancer and a dealer who specializes in chemical weapons called Mary. So they split into two where Red tracks down the Freelancer and the task force goes behind Mary. After Red is successful in capturing the Freelancer, they find out about a scheme that involves Mary and the plane that will crash. The task force put a stop to this, and like in true Blacklist fashion, this was all a play by Keen. She wanted Red to find the Freelancer and stop the plane crash, all while Keen would kidnap Mary. On the other side of things, Copper finds the USB he has uncovered needs a thumb impression. With Red’s thumb’s copy, he unlocks it.
