The story picks up at the age when Naruto can become a Genin but has failed multiple times to do so. The anime uses a very specific kind of power system known as Chakra. The more chakra a character has, the stronger they will be. Attacks that utilize chakra are called Justu. In this article, we will be talking about Rasengan, a Jutsu only a few can handle. Here are all the users of the Rasengan and how they mastered it.
7. Minato
Starting off, we have to acknowledge the very creator of Rasengan. This Jutsu was first created by the genius child prodigy and Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze. He had always shown talent growing up. He also had the wish to become Hokage and protect his village. Famous as the Yellow Flash of the Leaf, Minato also specializes in the Flying Raijin Jutsu. This power allows him to teleport in the blink of an eye and take his enemy off guard. Minato was Naruto’s dad. This becomes clear to him only after a while in the series to the adore of many fans. He tried to add a change in chakra nature to the Rasengan but failed. But thanks to him, this amazing Jutsu was passed down generations and is now immortal in the world of Naruto.
6. Jiraiya
Next up, we have none other than Jiraiya. Famous as the Hermit Mountain Toad Sage of Mount Miyoboku, Jiraiya is a pervert and one of the three legendary Sannin. Jiraiya was also a great teacher. His pupils usually ended up affecting the world in a very big way, whether it be Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan, who ended up as Pain, or Naruto himself, who finally created a world of peace and stability. One of Jiraiya’s many great students was Minato. He picked up the Jutsu from his own student and mastered it as if it was his own. Jiraiya was also able to go into Sage Mode after having trained recklessly at Mount Miyoboku. By accidentally stumbling upon the Mountain, Jiraiya was the one who set off a chain of events that would impact the story of Naruto. He and his students became the center of the prophecy that would change the world in a great way.
5. Kashin Koji
Speculated by many to have been Jiraiya himself, Kashin Koji was recently revealed as Jiraiya’s clone. Alas, the great Sannin is truly dead and not coming back any time soon. Kashin Koji appears in the Boruto manga and anime. He was created by Amado so he could hopefully destroy Isshiki Otsutsuki one day. Being a clone of Jiraiya, Koji is proficient with Rasengan as well as summoning toads from Mount Miyoboku. He also dons a similar headband as Jiraiya. He was not ever shown learning Rasengan, but it speculated that it just came naturally with Jiraiya’s cells. Also Read: Naruto Voice Actor Believes Boruto Anime Casted Kashin Koji Incorrectly
4. Naruto
Next, we have the titular character himself, Naruto. Naruto was a talented ninja who had a lot of chakras but little control over them. There were not many in the leaf village who could teach Naruto more than he already knew, given his style and chakra nature. His life drastically changed after meeting the pervy sage—Jiraiya. Jiraiya taught him how to use the Rasengan. It took him a lot of practice and a dash of creativity. He learned to control the Rasengan by using it with his Shadow Clone Jutsu to have an extra pair of hands for assistance. Rasengan soon becomes the ultimate weapon in Naruto’s arsenal. He uses it time and time again to take down many foes. Naruto is the first one who could achieve a change in chakra nature and add it to Rasengan. He created the Rasenshuriken, which is Rasengan with Wind Style chakra. Later on, in the series, he also combines the tailed beasts’ Beast Bomb with Rasengan making it even stronger. Naruto learned the Rasengan and truly made it his own.
3. Kakashi
Then we have Kakashi. He goes by many names—Kakashi of The Sharingan, Cold Blooded Kakashi, and so much more. At times, these names aren’t accurate and don’t show his true nature. However, he is most famously known as Kakashi, The Copy Ninja. Kakashi could have been taught the Rasengan with Minato being his teacher. It is also possible that, like a thousand other Jutsu, Kakashi simply copied Rasengan with his Sharingan. He is primarily a Chidori user because of his lightning chakra nature. But he can most definitely use Rasengan if he so deems it.
2. Boruto
Now, Boruto has a lot of potentials. He has the blood of both Uzumaki and Hyuga clans, making him exposed to already powerful genes. Furthermore, he comes from a family who created and mastered the technique. Being the son of Naruto and grandson of Minato, Boruto quickly picked up the technique from his sensei Konohamaru. He also managed to add his chakra nature to it without having to try, creating the vanishing Rasengan. So far, he’s made three different variants of the technique! A vanishing Rasengan, a Lightning Rasengan, and a condensed version of it. Having come this far this early makes him could make him the strongest user of the Jutsu in the future.
1. Konohamaru
And finally, we have Konohamaru Sarutobi, grandson of Hiruzen the Third Hokage. Konohamaru was taught the Rasengan by Naruto, who took him under his wing. He has the Sarutobi blood coursing through his veins and has a great lot of potential rooting for him too. As a child, he was taught the technique and was able to kill off 1 of the six pains using it. That was a big feat for a kid his age. Growing older, he has only made the technique more refined and stronger. He wants to walk in the same path as Naruto and dreams of being Hokage after him.
